My Favourite Thrift Finds - Book Edition

I am such a sucker for books.  I have always been a big reader since a young age I was always encouraged to read books, infact one of the first books I remember reading was the Hobbit by JRR Tolkien. It was my dads favourite book and one of mine too. I have on the hunt for an old copy of that book for a while now.

Vintage books always have a special place in my heart. I can walk into a thrift shop and spot one a mile off. There is just something about old books that make me all warm and fuzzy inside. The dusty smell, the darkened and lightened pages, and most of all, the weird and wonderful photography.

These are a few of my all time favourite thrift shop pick ups. These ones are from the 1940's, 1950's and 1970s. The profitable hobbies one, which is from the 1940's and its one of my favourite things  I own. It has some great, albeit dated information on how to turn fun hobbies into money. Some of these include keeping birds, woodwork, and beekeeping. I love reading old books and seeing how far we have come since they were written.

As you can probably tell by my book choices I'm secretly a 60 something year old in a twenty something year old body, and I'm completely fine with that.

Hope you are having a great weekend,
Moody Blue Vintage
